We realise that motivation to quit can fluctuate over time, so we are strong believers that having medical support 7 days a week is key to a successful quit journey. Our service guarantees a response within 24 hours, even on weekends.

Simple

Our secure telehealth solution uses a tailored combination of online, phone and video communication matched to each patient’s needs.

Quit Clinics Mission: 5% by 2025

At Quit Clinics we believe that there is no more pressing health issue currently facing Australia than reducing smoking rates.

Smoking remains the leading cause of preventable death in Australia, killing more than 20,000 Australians each year. Smoking disproportionally affects lower income, rural, and indigenous Australians.

The National Health Agreement set a target of less than 10% of adults being daily smokers by 2018, a target that sadly wasn’t met. This target has been extended by The Minister for Health to 2025.

At Quit Clinics, we believe this target can be achieved and ought to be more ambitious. That is why Quit Clinics has independently reset this target to 5% Australian smokers by 2025. By employing an evidence-based harm minimisation strategy, with ongoing medical support, we believe this ambitious target can be achieved.

All Quit Clinics staff are non-judgemental and supportive. We believe that most smokers want to quit, and will be able to quit smoking if provided with the right support.

Quit Clinics supports the doubling-down of efforts to reduce youth vaping, and the illegal sale of poor-quality nicotine vapes. Our secure third-party identification and age verification system ensures our service is only available to adults. 90% of Quit Clinics patients are aged 25 or older.*

He finds great satisfaction in having a narrow area of expertise with smoking cessation and the positive impact it has on his patients’ lives.

What makes Quit Clinics authorised and experts?

At Quit Clinics, helping people live happier and healthier lives is at the core of our mission. That’s why we were the first company in Australia to provide a telehealth smoking cessation service, and remain Australia’s largest.

All our prescribers are Australian registered doctors, and TGA Authorised Prescribers of Nicotine Vaping Products (NVPs), with special interests in smoking cessation. All Quit Clinics’ doctors stay up to date with both Australian and International research on smoking and vaping. This means you are not only being supported by regulated clinicians, but true subject matter experts with real world experience of how to guide people through the process of quitting. This experience in prescribing has allowed us to develop a weaning schedule to help our patients not only quit smoking, but beat nicotine addiction altogether.

At Quit Clinics, we are not a replacement for your normal GP, but we are there to be used as extra support for those people with specific needs. We encourage all patients to visit their regular GP to discuss their smoking/nicotine dependence, helping them have the best chance of successfully quitting.

Our prescriptions follow the RACGP smoking cessation guidelines, and all of our staff are experienced TGA Authorised Prescribers of Nicotine Vaping Products (NVPs).
